Day 241 #POVChallenge

This isn’t a conversation that’s easy to have… but it’s one that needs to be had…
.
It’s one of the biggest tragedies in life, to watch someone sacrifice their very own happiness… because they feel committed, invested, or are afraid of hurting someone else.
.
I see people working at jobs they absolutely hate, but they don’t want to quit because they invested their time and money into a degree to get them into that field or position…
.
I see people in relationships for YEARS and hear them talk about how the fire they had died long ago but they don’t want to leave and hurt someone else’s feelings or waste the time they’ve already put into that relationship…
.
I see people forcing themselves to do things that duck their souls out of them that are influenced by parents, family, friends, or religion, yet they sacrifice their happiness by not telling them it’s not what they want out of fear of disappointment…
.
I understand that life is complicated and it’s easy to end up in any of these situations… but there shouldn’t be ANYTHING in this world that’s more valuable to you, than your own happiness.
.
I know it can feel like the hardest thing in the world to make a decision that will make you happy because it will require hard conversations, starting over, or emotionally hurting others around you.
.
But every one of us is living with a countdown timer that we don’t know when it will go off…
.
And every second that that timer is ticking down… you should be spending every moment possible doing things that absolutely sets your soul on fire and makes you feel alive.
.
Remember… The most common regret people have on their death bed when asked about their life…
.
Is that the fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content, when deep within, they wished to have made more selfish decisions that would have lead themselves to living a happier life.
