As much as I love boujee things, I love the simple and basic things that bring me back to my roots just as much.
.
Don’t get me wrong… it’s fun driving a new AMG around, rocking a Rolex, $500 Jordan’s, and designer clothes on.
.
It’s fun going to fancy restaurants with your friends and racking up $1,000+ tabs on the best food and drinks you could imagine.
.
It’s fun flying on private jets with your best friends to parties that are crazier than you see in movies.
.
But… it’s also just as fun stripping all of that away and just enjoying the simple things.
.
Like driving around a truck that was made in 06’ with no crazy technology, bells, whistles, or anything else. Just a truck, a radio, and that’s about it.
.
Or being up in the mountains, at the ranch, or in the middle of the desert having zero cell phone service and surrounded by your favorite people out in nature.
.
All of these moments are the ones I live for, but I had to learn to enjoy them, I had to stop tying myself to a single identity of being the guy who only likes one thing, and just do what I want, whenever I want, regardless of how others feel.
.
I want to experience all of life man, on all ends of the spectrum. I will never let my ego get in the way saying “I’m too good for this or too good for that”
.
I want to drive the newest, fastest cars, but also some old school muscle cars.
.
I want to fly private around the world, but I also wouldn’t mind taking a train through the mountains in Europe enjoying the scenery.
.
I want to drink top shelf whiskey at the most exclusive speakeasy’s, but also want to enjoy a $2 beer at the local bar with my friends after a long day of snowmobiling.
.
I want to take my woman to a fancy restaurant, but also want to eat Lunchables with some cheap wine with her on the side of the mountain watching the sunset.
.
Enjoy life man. Stop tying yourself to a single identity.
.
Start doing what YOU want, even if it makes zero sense to anyone else.
.
